The Mercedes-Benz CLS created the four-door coupe, and today both generations are popular platforms for carbon fiber upgrades. The W219 is the first-generation CLS and the W218 is the second. Because the bodies differ, the right front lip, diffuser or spoiler depends on your chassis code and often on your trim. This guide shows what we offer for each CLS and how to choose.

Quick answer: Pick your chassis first: W219 = first-generation CLS, W218 = second-generation CLS. Then match the front lip to your trim (CLS 550 or CLS 63 AMG) and choose a rear diffuser style (standard, Sport, DTM or LED).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the W218 and W219 CLS?

The W219 is the first-generation CLS and the W218 is the second generation. They have different body shapes, so front lips, diffusers, skirts and spoilers are listed separately for each. Always pick the part listed for your chassis code.

Do I need a CLS 550 or CLS 63 AMG front lip?

Several W218 front lips are listed by trim, either CLS 550 or CLS 63 AMG, and one design offers both as options. Choose the version that names your trim, and note that there is also a separate facelift CLS 550 front spoiler.

What is the difference between the DTM, Sport and standard W218 rear diffusers?

They are different designs for the same car. We list a DTM diffuser, a Sport diffuser, a standard carbon fiber diffuser and a version with an integrated LED light. Read the product page for the exact look.

Are the W219 roof spoilers carbon fiber?

We list two W219 roof spoilers. The AMG style roof spoiler is real carbon fiber, while the L style roof spoiler is FRP and unpainted, so check the material on the page before ordering.

Is the carbon fiber real?

Our CLS carbon fiber parts are listed as real carbon fiber with a clear coat. Product pages state the material for each part, and FRP parts are labeled as FRP.

Where can I check chassis codes and model years?

Our Mercedes-Benz Chassis Code Guide lists each W, C and X chassis with its model years, so you can confirm whether your CLS is a W219 or a W218.
