How to Choose a Rear Diffuser
1. Match your rear bumper
A rear diffuser mounts to the lower edge of the rear bumper, so it must match the bumper on your car. M cars, AMG models and M Sport or AMG Line packages each use a different rear bumper from the base model. Check the fitment table on the product page, or contact us with your car's year, model and trim.
2. Match your exhaust layout
Diffusers are shaped around the exhaust outlets. A diffuser designed for quad tips will not fit a car with dual tips, and some listings offer separate single, dual or quad versions.
3. Choose the material
Most of our diffusers are real carbon fiber with a clear coat. Some are dry carbon fiber, which is lighter and has a finer finish. A few are made from ABS or polypropylene in gloss black or a carbon fiber look finish. The material is listed on every product page.
4. Pick a style
Many cars offer several styles, such as OEM style, Performance, DTM, GTS or GT. OEM and Performance styles stay close to the factory look, while DTM, GTS and GT styles use larger fins for a more aggressive, race-inspired rear end.
FAQ
Will a rear diffuser fit my car?
It depends on your rear bumper and exhaust layout. Each product page lists the exact chassis, models and bumper type it fits. Contact us with your car's year, model and trim, and we will confirm fitment before you order.
Is the diffuser real carbon fiber?
Most of our diffusers are real carbon fiber with a clear coat, and some are dry carbon fiber. A few are made from ABS or polypropylene. The material is clearly listed on each product page.
Does a rear diffuser improve performance?
On a street car, an aftermarket rear diffuser is mainly a styling upgrade. It gives the rear end a more aggressive, race-inspired look and frames the exhaust tips.
Do I need to modify my bumper to install a diffuser?
Most of our diffusers are designed to mount to the factory rear bumper. Some installations require drilling, and professional installation is recommended for the best alignment. Check the product page for installation details.
